Treatments for Actinic Keratosis

KPs make skin appear like a dressed chicken skin, although this is not always the case. They can also appear like acne. KPs can be hard to manage and remove, and actually there is no real cure for KP.

•    Using creams having Tretinoin can help enhance keratosis pilaris. Tretinoin is commonly used for acne. It also stimulates the outer layer of skin to grow faster so that the amount of keratin on skin will be reduced.   It is less probably that keratin won’t be gathered in hair follicles and clog them.

•    Adapelene is a retinoid which moderates keratinization. Adapelene also exfoliates deceased skin.

Treatments for Seborrheic Keratosis

Seborrheic keratosis resembles actinic keratosis, but in this case, this type of keratosis is greasy. Actually, they are harmless but they can make someone feel ugly. To get rid of this, the procedures are cited below.

•    Cryotherapy is also used for SK cases.

•    Curettage employ the use of a curette. The doctor would abrade the SK and sometimes this method is used along with cryotherapy.

•    If you want to be sure of success try laser surgery.

•    Electrocautery is usually combined with curettage.
